Upgrade Shift Matrices
Track exactly how many ranks a specific seat dropped between counseling rounds. Select a phase below to analyze the historical volatility.
Round 1 vs Round 2
The initial major reshuffle. See how many seats dropped down to the second list after initial document verifications.
Round 2 vs Round 3 (Mop-Up)
The critical mop-up shift. Track the volatility as state counseling overlaps with the All India Quota.
Round 3 vs Stray Vacancy
The final high-stakes drops. Analyze how many ranks the cutoffs fell when final vacant seats were published.
Stray vs Special Stray
The extreme tail-end allotments. Only applicable to specific colleges that failed to fill seats in the standard Stray round.
How to read the matrix
↓ Dropped : The cutoff rank fell, meaning the seat became easier to get in the subsequent round.
↑ Tightened : A rare occurrence where cutoffs get stricter, usually due to virtual vacancies or category shifting.
What is an "Upgrade Float"? During counseling, you can accept a seat but choose to "float" into the next round. These matrices show you historically which seats opened up during that float phase.
